Second woman accuses Kavanaugh of sexual assault
Mon, 24 Sep 2018 02:56:36 GMT
Deborah Ramirez says Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh exposed himself in college and thrust "his penis" in her face. He denied the allegation.

Why should we believe Kavanaugh's denial?
Mon, 24 Sep 2018 02:53:45 GMT
Why does it matter whether a then-17-year-old Brett M. Kavanaugh drunkenly tried to rape a 15 year old, at a house party, 36 years ago? The accusation amounts to "a little hiccup," says Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev.; a "drive-by shooting," says Sen. Lindsey O. Graham, R-S.C.; and, generally speaking, a cheap "smear," according to many other Kavanaugh enthusiasts. The accusation is a distraction, such comments suggest, designed to draw attention away from Kavanaugh's brilliant mind and impeccable legal credentials.

Zion National Park reopens flood-damaged Angels Landing
Mon, 24 Sep 2018 02:48:26 GMT
ST. GEORGE, Utah - Zion National Park has reopened the trail to one its most popular hiking destinations for the first time since flood waters ravaged the southwestern Utah canyon in July. A section of retaining wall and several small check dams failed before an 18-foot gap opened in the West Rim Trail.

SUU president embarks on 170-mile 'Grand to Grand' run for campus child care center
Mon, 24 Sep 2018 02:24:00 GMT
Southern Utah University President Scott Wyatt on Sunday embarked on a 170-mile, seven-day run through the Grand Canyon that culminates at the summit of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Wyatt and teammates William Heyborne, associate professor of biology at SUU, and Johnny Oh, the university's director of global engagement, are among 135 runners from 22 countries who will traverse high desert, slot canyons and national forests gaining 18,000 feet of elevation along the way.

Attorney general ask DEA to tighten drug manufacture
Mon, 24 Sep 2018 02:16:32 GMT
Attorneys general from West Virginia and 10 other states are asking the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to further tighten the manufacture of opioids. West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey's office says the DEA's preliminary quotas for 2019 don't reflect the federal agency's position that demand shouldn't be equated with a legitimate need.
